EFVFD Qualifies New Pump Operators

Congratulations to Jesse Garrard, David Iser, Patrick Malchar, Collin Perkins, Dave Serpliss and Connor Wardwell on completing a rigorous training program to qualify as Pump Operators.

Qualification requires DOT training for a 2Q endorsement on their CT drivers license, an understanding of hydraulics and water flow as well as numerous hours of driver training and pump operation to demonstrate proficiency.

The training could not have been performed without the guidance and assistance from Assistant Chief David Czlapinski, Engineer Matthew Czlapinski and many department firefighters.

Godspeed to FF Gary Larkum.  Our thoughts and prayers go with you.
