Station 1—94 South Road

Engine-Tanker 9 is a 2005 Pierce Arrow XT with a series 60 Detroit Diesel Engine, 515hp @ 2150 rpm.  It is equipped with a “world” Allison transmission. Overall length is 35′ 2”. The Gross Vehicle Weight is 66,800lbs.  E9 has 2,000 gallons of water, 25 gallons Class A foam, and 25 Gallons of Class B foam with a pump rating of 1,500 Gallons Per Minute.

Engine-Tanker 9 is first due to activated fire alarms, structure fires, chimney fires, appliance fires, bomb threats and is a backup to Tunxis Hose Engine 5 on the TF Tanker Strike Team.

Engine 10

The new Engine 10 will be a Pierce Velocity PUC Rescue with a Cummins X15, 565 hp, and a 6th Gen Allison Transmission. Engine 10 will have a 750 gallon tank capable of pumping at 1,500 Gallons Per Minute.

Medic 11

Medic 11 is a 2019 Chevrolet Suburban. It is a BLS equipped apparatus with seating for 5 that is sent to town medical emergencies and can tow the department’s water rescue boats and fire safety trailer.

Boat Trailer

The boat trailer consists of an inflatable AVON Boat equipped with a Mercury 9.9hp Outboard, a V Bottom boat equipped with a Mercury 20hp Outboard, a Rescue Alive Ice Sled, and six Mustang Suits. The Boat Trailer is usually attached and responds alongside Medic 11 to all water rescues and ice water rescues.

UV 22

UV 22 is a 2020 Dodge Durango. It is BLS equipped and is primarily used as transportation when a member is taking a class, or members are going to department events.

Medic 7 is a 2004 Ford F-350. It is a BLS equipped apparatus with seating for 5 that is sent to town medical emergencies and can tow the department’s water rescue boats and fire safety trailer. Medic 7 was formerly Farmington Fire Department’s Medic 12 until it was relocated to Oakland Gardens in 2014.

Engine 8

Engine 8 is a 1997 Pierce Saber with seating for six firefighters with 5 SCBA seats. It is outfitted with a Detroit Series 40 Engine and an Allison MD3060R Transmission. It has a 750 gallon water tank paired with a Waterous 1,250 Gallon Per Minute Pump. Engine 8 is equipped with a combination cutter and spreader and an independent generator. Engine 8 is primarily housed at the 112 Farmington Avenue station.
